Nokia leaving Symbian for N Series and moving to Meego

The Nokia N8 will be the last N series device to use Nokia’s Symbian-based mobile operating system.  Running Symbian^3 currently, N series devices will move to MeeGo moving forward said Nokia spokesman Doug Dawson.  MeeGo is a joint effort combining the best elements of Mobilin and Maomo Linux into a single platform.  Nokia E series devices were not mentioned in the piece.
