AT&T Refreshing backhaul for LTE

26 06 2010

FierceWireless reported this week that AT&T is starting to make its initial push towards LTE.  An AT&T network architect this week stated that the company is deploying fiber to its cell sites, and is also moving towards more Ethernet backhaul.  AT&T plans to begin the LTE deployment in 2011, but will in the meantime be able to deliver 7MBPS HSPA+ speeds later in the year with these recent deployment efforts.
