On it’s Android Developers Blog, Google has updated legal information in the Android Market Developer Distribution Agreement that appears to be related to carrier billing. In the post, Google states that it is adding “authorized carriers” to the indemnified party list, meaning they would be allowed to bill for app purchases. Developers have been alerted of these changes and have 30 days to accept these new terms. Once this 30 day window is over, Google w can move forward with the next steps. Currently, T-Mobile is the only carrier that allows for app billing to occur.
