Sprint officially announced that the HTC EVO 4G will be its first device to get Android 2.2 Froyo. Starting on Tuesday August 3rd, Sprint will be pushing out the latest update to the Android Opearting system over the air. Froyo offers numerous performance updates, as well as Flash support for web browsing. Early reports also show the update including a new Flashlight app, and the ability to sync your Facebook events and birthdays to your calendar. App sharing is also built in. Sprint is the first carrier to offer the 2.2 update here in the US.
