Verizon announced early this week that it completed the acquisition of AT&T’s Centennial Communications assets. The FCC mandated transaction divested 117,000 customers in six areas in the Southeast from AT&T to Verizon. Verizon says that it will convert customers from GSM over to CDMA and roll out a 3G network in the markets. Verizon now has all spectrum licenses and network assets in the affected areas.
