PlayBook OS 2.0 leaked, native email configuration appears

26 08 2011

Images surfaced Thursday of what appears to be the next version of the PlayBook OS, and email configuration is present.  RIM is finally going to add native email, contact and calendar syncing to the device, through the Exchange ActiveSync, IMAP, POP and CalDAV protocols.  However, it does not appear that BlackBerry Exchange Server or Internet Service is available other than over the BlackBerry Bridge, which is available in current builds of the OS.
