Lenovo Sunday announced the S2 smartphone.  The S2 Smartphone runs a secure Linux kernel, and contains the following specs:

• 1.4GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 dual-core processor
• Lenovo Magic 3.0 UI (Android 2.3)
• 3.8-inch 800×480 TFT display
• 8MP camera and .3MP VGA front facing camera
• 512MB RAM for devices with 8GB internal storage
• 1GB RAM for devices with 16GB internal storage
• Micro USB port
• HDMI and MHL Connectivity
• 1500mAh battery

The S2 will be available in China initially, but will be available through the world as well.  No word on a release date.

Thinner than its predecessors, the IdeaTab S2 10-inch is just one-third of an inch thin and, at a feather-light 1.1lbs, is one of the lightest 10-inch tablets available today. As the world’s first smart TV powered by QualComm’s 8060 Snapdragon dual core CPU, the K91 is also the world’s first smart TV running the Android 4.0 operating system – which will revolutionize technology in the living room. Its smart “Sandwich” UI unites three major smart TV functions, including Video On Demand (VOD), Internet applications and traditional TV programs.
