We’re hanging out at the a Sprint event tonight, and were able to get some hands on time with the Galaxy Nexus. The device was announced yesterday by the carrier, but the specs we heard then may not have been quite accurate. Through conversations with Sprint representatives, here’s what we determined.
- Processor – originally listed in the leaked ad as 1.5GHz, the rep told us to expect the same 1.2GHz as found in the Verizon and Unlocked versions.
- Internal Memory – the site lists it as 16GB, Mobile Burn lists it as 32GB. Our rep told us 16GB. Android Central had Sprint reach out to them and verify a 32GB model is what they’ll get.
- Price – the Verizon version of the device sells currently for $300, though, that model has 32GB of internal memory. During a conversation about the LG Viper, we were told to expect a lower price point for the viper, around $100, as the “high end offering” (gesturing towards the Nexus) would be $200.
- OS – we could not get to the about screen to check out the build running on the device, but it sounds like an iteration of 4.0 (such as 4.0.2 or 4.0.3) is likely.
Interestingly, we weren’t able to take any photos of the back of the device (wonder what Sprint’s not confident about), but here’s a couple of the front. Pretty much status quo Nexus.
