CyanogenMOD Open Source Android project passes one million users

14 01 2012

This week CyanogenMod passed one million active users.   CyanogenMod takes the Android Open Source Project source code and compiles it for many different devices across many manufactures.   Many older devices long since abandoned by their manufactures back in the Android 1.5 days are happily running the latest CM7 2.3.7 Gingerbread.    TCPJ’s HP TouchPad is currently running the CM7 Alpha 3.5, and the Ice Cream Sandwich based CM9 for the TouchPad will be released soon.
