MetroPCS this week confimed it had discontinued its $40 unlimited LTE plan when it stopped offering the Samsung Craft last month.  MetroPCS will offer smartphone customers unlimited voice, messaging, email and 1GB of streaming data for $50 per month, and add unlimited streaming and access to Rhapsody for an additional $10 per month.

UPDATE - MetroPCS a few days later that the $40 plan is still available for all 4G devices.
