Samsung advised last week that the successor to the Galaxy S line would not be coming out at Mobile World Congress later this month. Though Frandroid posted information Monday that the successor device would be announced at a March 22nd event, and they’ve got the rumored specs. However, a Samsung representative confirmed to The Next Web that it won’t be revealing any new devices at the event in France on the 22nd.
Either way, the phone is said to launch before summer, and is expected to feature a 4.6-inch 720p Super AMOLED Plus display, a 1.8GHz dual-core Exynos processor, 2GB of RAM, and a 12-megapixel camera. Rumors from ETnews point to a thinner profile as well. A 7mm thickness (.28 inches) is expected, down from the .33 inches of the Galaxy S II and much thinner in comparison to the .37 inch iPhone 4S.
