17 02 2012

A settlement was reached this week regarding 18 separate lawsuits against the iPhone 4′s antenna reception. US residents who purchased an iPhone 4 will be entitled to either $15 in cash, or a bumper case from Apple. A website for the settlement has been setup at www.iPhone4Settlement.com, which will be launch in the coming weeks. E-mails will also be sent alerting original buyers to the settlement before April 30, 2012 as part of the arrangement. The claims period is then open for 120 days, and has a class of 25 million members. Emails will be sent to all members, and the settlement summary notice will be printed in the USA Today and Macworld.
